Cheryl took her first yoga class on a whim as a college student in 1981! Though her occasional delight in the practice continued, her first love was dance. She got lost in the music and movement, so much so that nothing else existed; time stood still. When hanging up her pointe shoes for good after decades of dance study, her heart found its home in yoga.
On her mat, time again stood still. She enjoyed the familiarity of moving to music, but found the addition of connecting her breath to movement allowed her physical, emotional and spiritual sides to merge. Peace and contentment blossomed, her intellect quieted.
Struggle was replaced by grace. Unexpected healing and personal transformation, together with the joy she derives from a connected community inspired Cheryl’s desire to share this blessing with others. She received her RYT200 from Yoga Bliss in 2016. Cheryl’s classes typically follow Baron Baptiste’s style, and inspire the journey of self-exploration and discovery.
And of course, Cheryl’s classes delight in blending music with breath and movement to instill peaceful presence, as well as to inspire the grace of meditation in motion.
