Studio Owner, E-RYT 500, YACEP, Director of 200-Hr YTT

I am a mother to three young adults and a handsome cat named Boris. Aside from work and family, my passion is travel. I also love art museums, hiking, musicals, photography, reading, and gardening. I used to be a CPA, so I enjoy the business part of running the studios; I am a person who thinks that accounting is fun!

I took my first yoga class in 2008 at Lifestyles and was immediately hooked by both the challenge and the fact that it made me feel joyful and courageous. From the beginning I wanted to share these amazing feelings, so I started leading classes in my basement for my friends. I earned my 200-hour teacher training certificate from Cleveland Yoga in 2010 and in 2011 moved my basement studio to a “real” studio in Fairlawn. Since then, I earned my 500-hr certification and expanded my practice through many trainings around North America. In 2018 our Green location opened and our inspiring community became even more expansive.

The yoga teacher Seane Corn gave me the courage to embark on a new and unfamiliar path and face challenges that helped me to grow and evolve. I feel so fortunate to have accompanied Seane on service trips to Haiti and India and also to have welcomed her to Yoga Bliss as a guest teacher. I have also learned so much from practicing with Tiffany Cruikshank,  Bryan Kest, Kathryn Budig, Baron Baptiste, and Sianna Sherman.

I love heart openers, especially camel. Back-bending makes me feel joyful. Whether I am practicing or teaching, I visualize positive energy and love shooting out into the universe from my and my fellow yogis open hearts :) My classes are challenging but FUN! I like creative sequences and try to incorporate arm balances and “tricks” into my classes. I encourage laughter and not taking yourself too seriously.

I truly believe that yoga gives us the tools to make the world a better place. Every time we come to our mat we practice presence, patience, playfulness, perseverance, honesty, trust, courage, surrender, gratitude, acceptance, non-judgment, kindness, empathy, compassion, love of self and others, grit, calm determination, and so much more!
