Some Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies that may be used to supplement traditional therapy include the following:
Proper breath function is at the heart of our health and wellness. Breathwork can reduce stress and anxiety and lower cortisol levels, improve sleep, metabolism, cardiovascular function, and much more. Did you know that studies have shown that the greatest indicator of longevity is not our diet, the amount of exercise, or sleep, but lung capacity?
The lymphatic system is our body’s filter system for toxins and waste. If we are not moving properly, we are storing unnecessary inflammation, toxins, and waste that can influence our overall health, healing, and energy levels. A gentle lymph drainage massage may assist in healing nagging injuries.
Dry Needling – is one of the best ways to break the cycle of trigger points. Some of the benefits of dry needling are regaining motion, accelerating healing, and improving chronic pain and inflammatory conditions.
Normatec Compression Boots are great for pre-workout, post-workout, and acute or chronic injuries. This system can accelerate your healing by clearing lactates and metabolites in the muscles and lymphatic system.
Power Plate Sessions send tiny vibrations through your body, increasing muscle fiber recruitment. promoting healthy bones, lymphatics, balance and flexibility, pain relief, weight loss, and boosting athletic performance naturally.
Other favorites include:
K- taping, Cupping, Cranial Sacral techniques, Sound therapy with healing tones and frequencies, the subconscious, energy work, mindfulness meditation, body scans, and therapeutic aquatics.

She has merged the science of biomechanics and innovative manual therapy techniques with the art of healing and renewal.
She is a therapist who “gets it” with the ultimate desire to open the door for the patient to have the opportunity to heal themselves.
She presents a unique creative multisensory approach.
She believes in nurturing the spirit and empowering the person faced with disability, strongly emphasizing the importance of the patient therapist relationship.
She focuses not only alleviating the symptoms that cause pain and discomfort but finding and treating and eliminating the root cause of the problem, establishing a platform for lifelong health and wellness.
She acts as an advocate for her patient’s total wellbeing matching them with the treatments best suited to help them obtain optimal health and quality of life.
She provides an extensive plan of care with a multifaceted approach that understands that all of the components of the body are interconnected thereby she works to heal the whole person (focused on the systems of the body – circulatory, lymphatic, musculatory, skeletal, nervous, connective tissue, integumentary (skin), and limbic (emotions) rather than individual parts.
Throughout my physical therapy career, I have focused my continual learning process on many manual skills in conjunction with clinical applications allows my patients to be the beneficiaries of the ever-expanding physical therapy profession.
I use the phrase “hands on holistic approach” in my practice. To my patients this means quality and value provided within the care they will receive. To their families and friends, this provides a sense of comfort, knowing that their loved one will obtain skilled physical therapy and an opportunity to return and, in many cases, surpass their prior level of function and athleticism.
