Who do you most admire and why? Anyone who chooses forgiveness instead of resentment; the ordinary person who’s afraid to come to their first yoga class or try their first inversion, but does it anyway.

What is your favorite yoga pose and why? I love heart openers, especially camel. Back-bending makes me feel joyful. Whether I am practicing or teaching, I visualize positive energy and love shooting out into the universe from my and my fellow yogis open hearts :)

When did you start practicing yoga? 2005, at the Wellness Center

Who are your teachers and where did you train? The teacher who inspires me most is Seane Corn. Her teaching gave me the courage to embark on a new and unfamiliar path and face challenges that helped me to grow and evolve. I feel so fortunate to have accompanied Seane on service trips to Haiti and India and also to have welcomed her to Yoga Bliss as a guest teacher. I have also learned so much from practicing with Tiffany Cruikshank,  Bryan Kest, Kathryn Budig, Baron Baptiste, and Sianna Sherman. I received my 200 hour teacher training certification at Cleveland Yoga.

Describe your teaching style: Challenging but FUN! I like creative sequences and try to incorporate arm balances and “tricks” into my classes. I encourage laughter and not taking yourself too seriously.

What is your motto? Be kind. Choose joy.
