RYT-200, Front Desk

Hi everyone, I'm Kennedy! Yoga has always been a big part of my life. I started practicing yoga when I was nine years old at summer camps and attending Sunday morning donation classes at Yoga Bliss with my mom. I decided to take my practice seriously and to commit to the 2022 yoga teacher training program, here at Yoga Bliss, my junior year of high school. I had been an athlete my entire life and was looking to find a new way of movement. I was also looking for something to change my life and I definitely found it. Not only did my teacher training experience completely transform my practice of yoga, but it also strengthened my mind and my relationships with other people. I like to have fun in my classes by playing well-known music and offering various poses that flow together. My favorite kind of yoga class to take is a power vinyasa. Nothing beats the feeling you have when you finish class and you're all sweaty and your heart is racing. Especially if the teacher puts a cold towel on your forehead at the end ;) My goal in teaching yoga is to introduce more people my age to this practice and to give them an outlet to help with their stress.

Currently, I am a senior at Highland High School in Medina. I am planning on going to college to become a Physician's Assistant at either Bowling Green or Mount Union. Along with teaching, I also work the front desk at Yoga Bliss. My favorite thing about this studio is the life-long relationships I have made during my time here. Yoga Bliss has some of the most caring, kindhearted, and thoughtful people I have ever met. They truly make this place feel like home. Outside of the studio, I enjoy spending time with my two brothers and my friends, going skiing, spending all of my money at Luluemon, eating Chipotle, watching Grey's Anatomy and Gossip Girl, traveling, scrolling on Pinterest, lifting weights, going on walks, and working hard in school. I am very excited to continue my journey into teaching yoga. I hope to see you in class!
