Liz DeWitte started practicing yoga in 2010 looking for something to fill her time with after graduating college. She fell in love after her first class which was a power vinyasa class. Liz had no idea what she was getting into when she showed up for class. There were tons of inversions and arm balances and was immediately drawn to the playfulness of the practice. Liz did her 200 RYT teacher training at Lifesource Yoga in 2014 and did not have any intention of teaching yoga, but wanted to deepen her understanding of the practice. As life works, she grew from that experience and agreed to start subbing classes, which then lead to teaching almost full time after a year of falling in love with teaching.
Yoga was her first love in starting her fitness journey and has opened so many doors for opportunities and growth over the years. Liz has explored many paths in yoga and is certified in Ariel yoga, buti yoga, SUP yoga and her favorite, acroyoga. She also teaches barre and spin. She brings a powerful and playful practice to the mat trying to balance strength, mobility and flexibility in each class... And lots of arm balances and inversions! Liz is also a RN working full time as an organ procurement transplant coordinator for Lifebanc and part time as a hospice nurse. Working in the field of nursing has taught her how precious life is and how important it is to take care of our body. Yoga has been an integral part of her adult life not only to take care of her body physically, but also mentally and spiritually to give back what's been depleted. So come try a class with Liz to move, play, sweat, get upsidedown, get uncomfortable, grow, let go... Whatever it is, come find it on the mat.
